Ok, so obviously I need to try harder if I want to post here more than once a year. How about a re-introduction?
My name is Katie. I’m a Pisces in my late 20s, live in the St. Louis, MO area (in the USA of course), and work at a printing company where I’ve been for the last 7 years doing non-printing things. I’m single and childless (unless you count the two cats in my household, one of which belongs to Lisa, my best friend and roommate). I love Japan and in particular a small genre of rock called Visual Kei. I’ve been to Japan four times now, and can speak a decent level of Japanese. I love physics and astronomy, computers, and geeky things. I like hockey and baseball (though hockey much more so) and of course I’m a fan of the local St. Louis teams. I’m currently gearing up to return to school next month to start working on a computer science degree, which will probably take me forever to finish since I’m also working full time.
And here’s me:
Most of my posts will be related to food, Japan/music, cats, and feelings. I’m pessimistic and often depressed but I’m going to try my best not to let it leak into this thing. I can’t guarantee it will be an interesting or world-changing blog, but if you have a few minutes every couple days to see what a random geek chick is up to, then feel free to stop by.
